MEA CULPA
Charts on this site are intended only as a guideline to further research. They are mostly compendiums and transcriptions of materials kindly provided by others. Some of the information has been assembled from personal research including family anecdotal, IGI records, and misc sources.
I apologise for errors and inconsistencies and ask that you draw these to my attention.
A large amount of information is obviously missing and offers hours of pleasure to those researching their family connections.
I invite anyone doing research on Stuckey descendants to post their information on this website so that others may be encouraged to share and add to the understanding

Turbulent times!
John Stuckey and Agnes Bremble married (18 June 1559) just 15 years after Henry VIII 's reformation. Between their youth, marriage in 1559, and the last date (Anna Stuckey b 1633) on the Rev Puddy of Kingsbury Episcopi chart (first section before the '100 year gap') came Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth I and Charles I (executed 1649), Not to mention Jane, the 9 day Queen 1554.
The Stuckey's were established and living on the rich farming plains of the Somerset Levels during this time. Some of them may have worked under and witnessed the destruction of the great Abbey at Muchelney.
The first chart reference is my transcription of information gathered by Kelvin Stuckey from the Reverend Puddy of the church at Kingsbury Episcopi. The second part of Rev Puddy chart covering the period 1731 to 1887 is perhaps more interesting as it is connected to present day descendants.
1544 to 1633. Stuckeys of Kingsbury Episcopi. Chart of the Reverend Puddy provided to Kelvin Stuckey of Australia and transcribed by Jim Marke. Its important to remember that the dates recorded by the church are likely to be Baptism dates not actual birth dates. Baptism dates could explain unusual gaps in a family continuum. The transcription doesn't quite include all the information of the original. There are a few enigmatic notes, a few hesitant linkages and a few places where clarity is obscured. Nonetheless it will be substantially correct - copied from the original church records by Rev Puddy. Of considerable interest on this chart is Robert Stuckey b 17 Nov 1633. Is he the father of George Stuckey b 1664 m Grace Pitt? The dates work, ie Robert (1663) would have been 31 when George (1664) was born. Kingsbury Episcopi and Kingsdon are only 6 miles apart!
1753 to Present. Stuckeys of Kingston Seymour. (Charles Stuckey and Ann Fletcher). Pat Simpson correctly notes that the references to Kingston, Surrey on this chart are incorrect. The LDS site is incorrect in ascribing Kingston Surrey to these Stuckeys. The church records in Kingston Seymour show that the LDS records were transcribed incorrectly. Nigel & Diane Stuckey have all this info & more on their site.
Mystery Photo. This
Photo is an old B&W 82k file size. Top left figure may be Henry Stuckey b 1815 d 1895 m Mary Griffin. He was son of Isaac Stuckey b 1787 who was son of Charles. All from Kingston Seymour. Please email Liz Bang ,who kindly provided the photo, if you have information or questions concerning the photograph.
1791 to Present. Stuckeys of Bridport (Dorset, Eng), Wales, Surrey, Canada, USA. (John Stuckey and Elizabeth Mabb). Great information provided by Peter & Virginia Stuckey chart from their website. (Website presently under reconstruction as of Jan 2006)
1799 to present. Stuckeys of Kingsbury Episcopi. (Charles Stuckey and Anna Moncton). There are 160 persons on this extensive chart provided by Barry Davies. The chart is in 3 parts for convenience in printing. PART A PART B PART C Of interest is that Charles and Ann (sic) are on the second (unpublished) page of the Rev Puddy Chart.
1809 to present. Stuckeys of Kingsbury Episcopi. John Stuckey and Sarah Priddle. This is the very interesting Adam, Eve, and Noah information found on the second (unpublished) page of the Rev Puddy Chart. Adam & Noah emigrated to Australia and Fran Ramsey kindly provided information going back to Adam & Noah that Jim Marke was able to link onto the Rev Puddy chart. Eve (Twin of Adam) did not emigrate with her brothers. Eve can be found in English census info at age 8. What happened to Eve after that?
1819 to present.Stuckeys of Newport. James Stuckey and Elizabeth ? . This chart provided by Nigel and Diane Stuckey whose website contains all this info & much much more.
1834 to present. A large chart from Kelvin Stuckey. Starts with Samuel Stuckey / Elizabeth Wheeler and then Robert Stuckey / Sarah Tamplin. A lot of information is incomplete on this chart - if you are on the chart its a very valuable resource.
1851 to present. Stuckeys of Bath, Co. Durham and Australia. Anne Anderson provided this chart.
